Special screening of the movie Journey to Mecca: In Footsteps of Ibn Batutta. This movie is a documentary on the epic journey of Ibn Batutta to the holy land of Mecca to perform Hajj. The screening of the movie is at the Wollongong University Hall on Saturday 20th October 2012 at 4-5:30pm. Donation to this event is just a $2 gold coin. Refreshments will be served after the event as well. This special movie is spiritually uplifting and should not be missed.

All brothers and sisters are invited to join us in Omar Mosque on Sunday 21st of October 2012 after Maghrib 7:00pm for the event where all Mosques and Islamic centers in Wollongong are getting united in helping the Muslim refuges of Syria. Our beloved Sheikh Jamil El Biza (EOL, Wollongong) is in Lebanon from the previous few months helping the Syrian refuges in Lebanon. Conditions of our families there are not good, and they need our help. All money collected at the event will be given to Sheikh Jamil for helping our brother and sisters from the blessed land. Guest speakers at the event are

2) Sheikh Dr. Maan from MAWU
3) Sheikh Jalal Elchami from Sydney
Further to the lessons a presentation will be screened on the activities going on for the refuges and their conditions.

As a Muslim we should have the best character. Join us tonight at 7pm between Maghrib and Isha prayer at Omar Mosque inshAllah for a lesson “What Characteristics People of Heaven Have”. This lesson will remind us of there characteristics so we may apply them in our life. Please bring along family and friends.
