The Ramadan and Eid Announcement Committee of Wollongong has decided that the first day of Ramadan 2019 will be Monday 6th of may inshAllah.

Ramadan 2019 1440 Program

  • Iftar will be served every day in Masjid Omar inshAllah.
  • Iftar will be organised for gents only. Around 150~180 brothers join us for iftar every day. We encourage you to join us as well to experience the brotherhood and share the blessings. On certain days iftar will be available for families as well. Stay tuned to our Whatsapp group and Facebook page for announcements.
  • There will be a gap of 20 minutes between Maghrib Athan and Prayer so that everyone can enjoy iftar
  • If you want to participate in the iftar program (financially or physically) please contact us.
  • Isha prayer will be 7:00pm followed by Taraweeh. Guest Imam Sh Saud Naseer from Saudi Arabia will be leading most of the Tarweeh prayers. We will review the time after the first ten days of Ramadan.
  • Please be conscious of where you park. Please do not park at bus stops or block any driveways. There is ample parking available in the adjacent two properties to the mosque, House number 7 and House number 5 Foley Street Gwynneville.
  • Please be mindful of the neighbors when you leave the mosque.
  • All parents are requested to keep their children next to them at all times. They should be next to you during prayers as well as before and after.
  • Fajr time will remain same which is 25 minutes after Fajr Athan.
