Per the pre calculated calendar, the 10th of Muharram is going to be Friday, 28 July.
Following the local moon sighting of Australia, it will be Saturday, 29th July.
Iftar will be served at Omar Mosque both days to cater for everyone inshaAllah
Please fast both days and come to Omar Mosque for a delicious iftar.
There will be road closures around Wollongong due to the UCI Road World Championships between 17 – 25 September.
While Foley Street will remain open in front of the masjid, it will be closed between Gipps Road (from the fuel station) till Throsby Drive (where Bunnings is).
Please use alternative routes to reach the masjid.

Don’t worry about lunch today, InshAllah there will be Delicious Lunch ($10) and Chilled Drinks ($2) available for you to enjoy and take home after every session of Friday prayer.

Nine(9) & Tenth(10) Muharram Takeaway Iftar Dinner – Saturday, 29 August & Sunday 30 August 2020
InshAllah, Tomorrow, Saturday 29 August 2020 (9th Muharram) & Sunday 30 August (10th Muharram/ Ashura) there will be Takeaway Iftar at Omar Mosque.
Please come to Omar Mosque from 5:10pm to pick up your Takeaway Iftar on both these days.
If you want to contribute by donating any food items such as sweets, packable Fruits, Small Water or Juice bottles/packs etc then please make sure that we have those items delivered before 3:00pm.
InshAllah, we are planning to prepare around 150 Iftar on each day*. Please do fast and encourage your family and friends to fast on these days and come to Mosque to collect *delicious takeaway Iftar.
